What is an ETF?
An ETF, or exchange-traded-fund, is a bundle of investments that typically seeks to track the performance of an index, industry sector, or asset class. When you invest in an ETF, you may get exposure to hundreds, sometimes thousands, of assets (i.e. stocks, bonds, etc.) inside the ETF.

Why ETFs?
ETFs can offer you exposure to multiple assets in a single trade — meaning you can invest more broadly in things like specific markets, industries, or themes. For example, if you believe in green energy, you can find an ETF that invests in multiple green energy companies (instead of researching and selecting every green energy company individually yourself).
