Owned by Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior has over 200 locations worldwide, selling leather goods, fashion accessories, makeup and much more. Christian Dior, ticker symbol CDI.PA, was purchased by Louis Vuitton SE, a luxury goods conglomerate in Paris, in 2017 for $13 billion. Upon announcement of the purchase, Louis Vuitton SE, also known as LVMH, enjoyed a 4% rise in its stock value per share. Christian Dior has partnered with some of the biggest celebrities in the world. The impressive list of top cultural figures includes Mila Kunis, Natalie Portman, Eva Green, Charlize Theron, Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence. The Parisian designer has experienced a few debacles in the past, including accusations of promoting anorexia, running campaigns with homeless-related themes and even of plagiarism, when Christian Dior allegedly used traditional Romanian costumes as part of its 2017 spring collection.
